Effective September 21, 2026. Revised October 4, 2026. GetLiveMusicTonight.com

Live Music Tonight ("we," "us") is a Central Texas list of who's playing tonight, operated by the registered brand Music Association of Central Texas, a 501(c)(3). This page is the whole policy - no table of contents, no generator. Questions: james@accountcraft.com.

What we collect

Looking at the site, a venue’s next 7 days, or a band’s next 30 days does not require a phone number.

When you scan a poster or subscribe on the site, you type your mobile number and choose a city and radius. If you allow location, we use that pin so the list matches where you are. Submitting that form is how you opt in. We do not scrape numbers off a QR code, a contact book, or a third party.

If you scan again at the door, or tap I’m here, we record that you checked in. The venue sees a count and a masked last four digits, not your full number. On Monday we email that venue the week’s signup count and door count. That email has no phone numbers.

Venues and musicians who open Studio give us an email, a password, and a venue or band profile. If they forget the password, we email a reset link to that address. The link expires in one hour. If they pay, PayPal handles the card. We do not store the card. Association members give a WildApricot member ID and the email on that record so we can confirm the membership is active. A venue or a band may paste a secret Google Calendar address, an Outlook ICS link, or an Apple public calendar link. We store that address encrypted. It is not shown on the site. We copy the show title, time, place, and a short note from the calendar onto the public list.

If you write us from the support page, we keep the name, email, and message you typed so James can reply.

Consent is also covered in our Terms of Service, including the SMS Terms.

How we use it

Phone numbers and area choices are used for one SMS by 4pm Central (as early as 11am if a show starts before then) with a link to tonight's shows in your radius. No text on a quiet night. Also a confirmation when you join, and replies if you text STOP, HELP, START, a city, or a mileage. Message frequency is up to one message per day, plus those transactional replies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not use your number for ads, lead lists, or unrelated marketing.

Who sees it

We do not sell your phone number or any other personal information. We do not share it with other venues, bands, or advertisers.

Companies that run the pipes for us, under contract:

  • Twilio — delivers the texts
  • Vercel — hosts the website
  • Neon — stores the subscriber and show database
  • Resend — sends email: password resets, support notes, the Monday venue counts, and an operations note to us
  • PayPal — venue and non-member artist subscriptions, and the $5 or $10 highlight
  • WildApricot — checks Music Association membership IDs
  • Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar — only if a venue or a band connects one. We read that calendar. We do not give them your phone number

They get only what they need to do that job.

The person who runs the program gets a daily email of signup counts by town, plus the names and login emails of new venues and bands. That note does not include fan phone numbers.

How to get off the list

Reply STOP to any text, or use getlivemusictonight.com/unsubscribe. Reply START to join again. HELP for a short how-to.

You can also email us to see, correct, or delete what we have on your number. After you leave, we keep the opted-out number only so we do not text you by mistake.

Kids

This service is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date at the top.
