Terms of Service
Effective September 21, 2026. Revised October 4, 2026. Registered brand: Music Association of Central Texas
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern getlivemusictonight.com and the SMS program. The registered brand for that program is Music Association of Central Texas ("we," "us," "our"), a 501(c)(3) organization. The consumer-facing name of the list is Live Music Tonight. James Stone is president of the Association. By using the site, posting a show, or opting in to texts, you agree to these Terms. Questions: james@accountcraft.com.
The website
Live Music Tonight lists who is playing in the Central Texas area you choose. A fan can look at a venue’s next 7 days, or a band’s next 30 days, without a phone number. The daily text is separate. Scan a venue poster, or open the subscribe page, type your own mobile number, and pick a town and miles. One text arrives by 4pm Central, or at 11am if a show starts earlier, and only if something is in range. The text is a count and a link. The list is on this site. Scan that poster again at the door so the venue knows you are here. Listings are submitted by venues and musicians. We do not guarantee that a show will happen, start on time, or match the description. Cover charges, ages, and links are whatever the poster typed. If a band and a venue post the same night, it stays one show.
Venues and bands
Studio accounts may post shows if they have an active membership. Venues are $30 a month on PayPal, or $60 a year as a Music Association of Central Texas venue member. Musicians post free with a MACT membership: full band $60 a year, individual $30 a year (a musician in a band can list shows at that rate), students $20 a year. Without MACT, a band or musician is $12 a month on PayPal. PayPal handles the card. We never see it. A venue or a band may connect a Google, Outlook, or Apple calendar so shows load from that calendar. The calendar address is stored encrypted and is not published. Anyone who has an Outlook or Apple public link can read that calendar. Cancel a paid plan in PayPal or by deleting the Studio account. Deleting the account stops the monthly billing. Posted shows stay on the public list unless you cancel them first. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you post and for any links you include.
SMS Terms
The SMS program is operated by the registered brand Music Association of Central Texas. Messages identify the program as Live Music Tonight.
By entering your mobile number on our subscribe form (including a form opened from a venue QR poster) and submitting it, you opt in to receive SMS from Music Association of Central Texas / Live Music Tonight. That click is the consent. The first scan from a poster also checks you in at that door. A later scan, if you are already on the list, lets you change city or miles and tell the venue you are here. We do not buy lists or scrape numbers.
You will receive a confirmation text when you join, then up to one text per day when there is a show in the city and radius you chose. The text is a count and a link to the list on this site (as early as 11am Central if a show starts before 4pm, otherwise by 4pm). No text on a quiet night. Highlighted shows, if a venue or band paid to feature one, appear on that page, not inside the text. You may also get short replies if you text STOP, START, HELP, a city name, or a mileage. That is the full program. We do not send ads for other products.
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You can also use getlivemusictonight.com/unsubscribe. After STOP you will get a confirmation and no further recaps. Reply START to join again. Reply HELP or email james@accountcraft.com for help.
Consent is not a condition of buying anything. How we handle your number is in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to harass, post fake shows, scrape the subscriber list, or break the law. We may remove listings or close a Studio account that does.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by Texas law, Music Association of Central Texas and Live Music Tonight are not liable for missed gigs, a quiet night, a late text, or a carrier delay. If a court finds we owe you anything, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior three months, or $30, whichever is greater.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The date at the top is the current version. Keep using the service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
